We had nine great entries for our inaugural microfunding competition in 2024. Thank you to everyone who took part and congratulations to our top three teams, led by Benedetta Gaggio from the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy (1st), Juncheng Fan from the Cavendish Laboratory (2nd) and Lu Chen from the Department of Engineering (3rd), who all received £5,000 funding.

The teams undertook the following projects:
