Quantum and Advanced Materials technologies for a Sustainable Society

The 2024 Microfunding Competition winners were announced and the teams presented a brief action plan at the Community Day on 4th November 2024.

Well done to all the nine teams who submitted proposals this year and congratulations in particular to:

Project 1 - Benedetta Gaggio (lead contact, MSM) and her team will study the potential of advanced protonic memristive materials towards low-power computing devices.

Project 2 - Juncheng Fan (lead contact, Physics) and his team will develop modulable doping methods to optimise the trade-off between charge carrier concentration and morphology in TE polymers.

Project 3 -  Lu Chen (lead contact, CGC) and her team will work on the fabrication and characterisation single-photon emitters (SPEs) using layered materials, specifically, transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs).
